The global fight against HIV endures, with girls and young women in sub-Saharan Africa disproportionately affected by new infections. Both the once every 2 months intramuscular cabotegravir and the twice a year subcutaneous lenacapavir long-acting injectable pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) have shown efficacy for HIV prevention in this population, overcoming adherence challenges associated with daily oral tenofovir-based PrEP.1,2 The SEARCH CAB-LA study showed how expanding biomedical prevention options, including cabotegravir long-acting injectable, successfully increased prevention coverage and reduced HIV incidence in rural Kenya and Uganda.
The inclusion of transgender, nonbinary, and other gender diverse (henceforth trans) individuals at all stages of HIV scienceβ€”from design to implementationβ€”has been instrumental in addressing the global HIV epidemic.1 There is broad scientific agreement that ending the HIV epidemic requires the inclusion of trans communities as active partners, with members of this population acting as leaders in driving innovation and solutions to advance HIV science.2,3 Federal funding agencies have previously recognised the value of meaningful community-engaged research in driving not only equity but scientific rigour and impact.
On June 18, the US Food and Drug Administration approved lenacapavir for HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) based on evidence of exceptional protection against HIV in the PURPOSE clinical trials.1 However, structural barriers to wide dissemination are potentially insurmountable given the coordinated assault from the current US Government Executive Branch.

Το ατομικό δίμηνο επίδομα οροθετικότητας των μηνών Μαρτίου-Απριλίου 2017 ύψους 1.394 ευρώ, πιστώθηκε από τις κατά τόπους Υπηρεσίες Πρόνοιας στους τραπεζικούς λογαριασμούς των δικαιούχων στις 12 Μαΐου 2017.
Αρχίζει την Πέμπτη 15-12-2016 η χορήγηση των δελτίων μετακίνησης Ατόμων με Αναπηρία του έτους 2016 από τις αρμόδιες υπηρεσίες πρόνοιας των Περιφερειακών Ενοτήτων.
Επιπλέον άδεια 1 μήνα ετησίως µε αποδοχές για οροθετικούς μισθωτούς, οι οποίοι έχουν προϋπηρεσία 4 ετών στον εργοδότη.
Δωρεάν αστικές τηλεφωνικές κλήσεις χιλίων (1.000) λεπτών μηνιαίως για οροθετικούς & έκπτωση Internet αξίας 16 € επί της συνολικής μηνιαίας χρονοχρέωσης για άτομα με ποσοστό αναπηρίας άνω του 67%.
Δεν παραπέμπονται εκ νέου στα ΚΕΠΑ, οι ενδιαφερόμενοι που προσκομίζουν γνωματεύσεις αναπηρίας των οποίων η ισχύς δεν έχει λήξει, ζητώντας σύνταξη, επίδομα οροθετικότητας, ή κάποια άλλη κοινωνική ή οικονομική παροχή.
Οι Άνεργοι εγγεγραμμένοι στα μητρώα του ΟΑΕΔ απαλλάσσονται της καταβολής κομίστρου στα δημόσια μέσα μαζικής μεταφοράς του Ο.Α.Σ.Α. με την επίδειξη ταυτότητας και πρόσφατης βεβαίωσης ανεργίας.
